From CRM to cash: a B2B workflow that stays in one place
John Mason (AMHI Tech) on running CRM, closed deals, invoices, and Finance in one PipelineIQ workspace — with Workflows when a deal is won.
At AMHI Tech we sell to other businesses. The hard part is not finding the next lead — it is keeping CRM, closed deals, invoices, and cash in the same place so ops does not chase three tools after every win. This note is how PipelineIQ fits that path for us.
Start in CRM
PipelineIQ is where the account and opportunity live. Forecast and next steps sit next to the deal, so the team sees one pipeline instead of a spreadsheet plus a separate CRM. Clarity first: who owns the deal, what stage it is in, and what happens when it closes.
Win the deal
When the opportunity moves to won, the work should continue in the same workspace. Workflows run WHEN → IF → THEN. Deal Won can create an invoice, update forecast, notify the owner, and write the timeline. You review the draft before Activate — nothing runs until someone confirms.
Invoice from the close
Finance books start empty. You create the invoice when the deal is real — lined up with the account you already sold. Empty books stay empty until you add rows, so what you see in Invoices is what the team entered, not demo filler.
Finance next to the pipeline
Connect Stripe and Business Account shows Available and Pending when keys and Connect allow. Wallet is for balance, send, and history — Stripe-backed and partner-held. There is no plastic card issuing. Cash and books sit beside CRM instead of in a second product.
Automation without losing review
The value for operations is the chain: CRM → deal won → invoice → Finance, with Workflows carrying the handoff. Humans still confirm Activate and still own Accounting imports (Excel or CSV → AI review → confirm). PipelineIQ keeps the path short; review stays with the team.
Partner-held — not a bank
Regulated money movement is partner-held (Stripe and banking partners). PipelineIQ is not a bank and does not hold customer deposits. That framing matters for any B2B team evaluating Finance next to CRM.
